An unexpectedly hard shot by Gurbax Gascon in the 12th minute of play forced Atlético y Tiro Rqta's goalkeeper Abelardo Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Atlético y Tiro Rqta's goal looked a bit too open when Gurbax Gascon came free, but Abelardo Berenguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Benino to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gurbax Gascon in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Berenguer prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
