The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehat Kovaçi got free with Celal Ağca in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celal Ağca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehat Kovaçi's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Arnoud de Pelsmakere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urtsua Macías in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Fiori Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celal Ağca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vecdi Bedih in the 16th minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Arnoud de Pelsmakere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celal Ağca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With a little luck, 67Karadeniz Ereğli F.C.'s Celal Ağca got control of the ball when Mehat Kovaçi tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by İsmail Hakkı Erçivan in the 30th minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Arnoud de Pelsmakere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute 胡桦凡 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game 胡桦凡 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cougars FC's Arnoud de Pelsmakere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 45th minute of play forced 67Karadeniz Ereğli F.C.'s goalkeeper Celal Ağca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İsmail Hakkı Erçivan to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Mehat Kovaçi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cougars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehat Kovaçi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Mehat Kovaçi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celal Ağca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 58 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's Mehat Kovaçi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celal Ağca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celal Ağca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi in the 59th minute of play. Celal Ağca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehat Kovaçi in the 61st minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, 67Karadeniz Ereğli F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mehat Kovaçi came free, but Celal Ağca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mehat Kovaçi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celal Ağca was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Celal Ağca came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Cougars FC's Mehat Kovaçi. But to his dismay, Mehat Kovaçi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Cougars FC's Steffen Gimlinge was substituted for Mehat Kovaçi. 84 minutes into the game, Steffen Gimlinge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Celal Ağca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the match, Steffen Gimlinge notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of 67Karadeniz Ereğli F.C.'s Celal Ağca. Celal Ağca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Celal Ağca came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Cougars FC's Fiori Guimarães. But to his dismay, Fiori Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Steffen Gimlinge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cougars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steffen Gimlinge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celal Ağca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in 67Karadeniz Ereğli F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Celal Ağca went to the wrong direction when Steffen Gimlinge was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Fiori Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celal Ağca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when 67Karadeniz Ereğli F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afşar Oyanalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67Karadeniz Ereğli F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
