One of Club A. Independiente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Progresul Pitesti:s goal. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club A. Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florin Logofătu was slow to take the kick. During this time Progresul Pitesti's players had a chance to rest. Chorache Tofiño was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 12thth minute of the game Karol Czempa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club A. Independiente's Roque Rexino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Progresul Pitesti's Karol Czempa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roque Rexino. Roque Rexino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Andres Ishmael kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Vasile Blănaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Roque Rexino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Chorache Tofiño made a precise shot to the right of Roque Rexino. Club A. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 27th minute, Progresul Pitesti got a penalty, and Florin Logofătu placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 32nd minute, Chorache Tofiño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roque Rexino was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 47th minute Chorache Tofiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Roque Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Logofătu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Roque Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Czempa in the 56th minute of play. Roque Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chorache Tofiño in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute Chorache Tofiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Severino Eneto fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club A. Independiente's protests and gave Severino Eneto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Club A. Progresul Pitesti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
