The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zbyszek Przybyciel kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ferdinand Thurø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 9th minute of play. Ferdinand Thurø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Cordario in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, KS HANZA Goleniów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachariasz Mios to maneuver through the defense. When Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario in 16 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ferdinand Thurø guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Klement Marut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Erwin Huygens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Augusto Cordario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdinand Thurø was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Șerban Chihaia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erwin Huygens. The goal made the score 1-0. 25 minutes into the game, Augusto Cordario cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ferdinand Thurø was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Augusto Cordario came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Velez Sarsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Cordario couldn't finish the play. Zbyszek Przybyciel made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Marcos Pacifico. 35 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinand Thurø. KS HANZA Goleniów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Cordario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Ferdinand Thurø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Cordario in the 38th minute of the match. The throw-in from Zbyszek Przybyciel in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin. In the 48th minute of the match Velez Sarsfield got a corner. KS HANZA Goleniów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filomeno Montrell ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Cordario was the one to do the kick off. Zbyszek Przybyciel made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Marcos Pacifico. Augusto Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 60 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Montrell. Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zbyszek Przybyciel, made in the 62nd minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Zbyszek Przybyciel in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Velez Sarsfield's Marcos Pacifico. Ferdinand Thurø was a little too slow when Augusto Cordario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 72nd minute Șerban Chihaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Leandro Berti replaced Ignacio Berenguer. KS HANZA Goleniów's Miromir Podowski was substituted for Șerban Chihaia. Velez Sarsfield's Yiyo Bernal was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp was substituted for Filomeno Montrell. Velez Sarsfield were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after KS HANZA Goleniów's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Cordario took the corner. In the 86th minute Klement Marut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Cordario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Thurø having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Klement Marut had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erwin Huygens. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klement Marut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-6. When the final whistle sounded Velez Sarsfield left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than KS HANZA Goleniów.
