The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erwin Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klement Marut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, KS HANZA Goleniów's Ferdinand Thurø got control of the ball when Augusto Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronan Mistral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Thurø made a huge save. After 7 minutes KS HANZA Goleniów's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filomeno Montrell who took care of the corner kick. Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ferdinand Thurø in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Augusto Cordario took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ferdinand Thurø to make any attempt to save it. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Marut, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Marut in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Engkos Anhar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Augusto Cordario sped through KS HANZA Goleniów's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ferdinand Thurø. Augusto Cordario in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferdinand Thurø, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ferdinand Thurø made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Filomeno Montrell sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind KS HANZA Goleniów's goalkeeper Ferdinand Thurø, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ferdinand Thurø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Cordario in the 27th minute. Ando Averin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, KS HANZA Goleniów's goalkeeper Ferdinand Thurø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Cordario. Engkos Anhar made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Marcos Pacifico.

The referee showed Engkos Anhar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to KS HANZA Goleniów getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Engkos Anhar hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Velez Sarsfield fully deserved thier win.
