Fernan Berart took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens-Ove Gallberg. Jens-Ove Gallberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 11th minute of the match, Abdi Revis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jens-Ove Gallberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 12th minute Abdi Revis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Gallberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Festis BK's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Hermansson came free, but Jens-Ove Gallberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Hultstrand in the 22nd minute of play. Martin Mutumba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jens-Ove Gallberg made a huge save. The supporters of Festis BK booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Hultstrand to make the kick off.
