Jens-Ove Gallberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Hård in the 16th minute of play. Festis BK's Jens-Ove Gallberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Hård in the 17th minute of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Kaj Hård sped through Festis BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jens-Ove Gallberg. Festis BK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sture Dahlberg in the 26th minute. The corner ended in Sture Dahlberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but spikarna's Lars Norberg did a great save. Festis BK's Jens-Ove Gallberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Hård in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witomir Ziomkowski in the 43rd minute of play forced Festis BK's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Gallberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens-Ove Gallberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witomir Ziomkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Håkan Mild hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Christoffer Hansson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Festis BK's Jens-Ove Gallberg didn't even have to move. After the first half spikarna were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sven Nordkvist made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute of the match, Kaj Hård tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jens-Ove Gallberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sune Offendahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Jens-Ove Gallberg made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Birger Bergström took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Jens-Ove Gallberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 71st minute, Sven Nordkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Ove Gallberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Jens-Ove Gallberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atakan Pepe in the 75th minute. In the last second Jens-Ove Gallberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Atakan Pepe in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 75th match minute, spikarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witomir Ziomkowski to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sture Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Festis BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sture Dahlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Norberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 played minutes spikarna got a freekick which was hit by Christoffer Hansson. If Edwin Björk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven Nordkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jens-Ove Gallberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Festis BK's zone, Kaj Hård stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Ove Gallberg came out of the goal and Kaj Hård tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Witomir Ziomkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. spikarna played a much better game than Festis BK and deserved their victory. The Festis BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
