The referee ignored Holaneta's protests and gave Braulio Lluis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Swatar United FC booed when Holaneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Lluis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Salerno succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. Holaneta's Juan Felipillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Salerno in the 7th minute of play. Mario Salerno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Holaneta defense, Mario Salerno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Felipillo. The Holaneta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Felipillo should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Mario Salerno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Felipillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 18 minutes into the game, Mario Salerno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Juan Felipillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Owen Grech Cumbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Felipillo having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Owen Grech Cumbo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Pârcălab got free with Juan Felipillo in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Holaneta getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Anastasio Amor hit a great ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Mario Salerno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swatar United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Salerno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Holaneta's Juan Felipillo got control of the ball when Mario Salerno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patryk Siekierski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Edur in the 37th minute of play. If Apolo Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Mario Salerno sped through Holaneta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Felipillo. Mario Salerno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Pârcălab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Juan Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Holaneta's zone, Neil Micallef stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Felipillo came out of the goal and Neil Micallef tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Swatar United FC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58th minute, Sebastian Pârcălab made a precise shot to the right of Juan Felipillo. Holaneta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After 62 minutes of play, Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Felipillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Felipillo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Swatar United FC's Neil Micallef shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 11-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Juan Felipillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Grech Cumbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Mario Salerno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Felipillo was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Juan Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Salerno in the 94th minute of the match. Holaneta's Braulio Lluis got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Swatar United FC fans' excitement grew in the 98th match minute when Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 14-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Swatar United FC fully deserved thier win.
