After 31 minutes, Armando Salemme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La masia and the Fischverband Ostschweiz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patrick Steuckens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in La masia's zone, Arturo Pfäffli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Steuckens came out of the goal and Arturo Pfäffli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Fischverband Ostschweiz left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La masia.
