David Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 13th minute of the match. With a little luck, PoWer SC 2K5's David Rotariu got control of the ball when Alfonso Goicoechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfonso Goicoechea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but David Rotariu made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Hector Todor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PoWer SC 2K5 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 42 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Nevada. David Rotariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 44th minute of play. After 48 played minutes PoWer SC 2K5 got a freekick which was hit by Benny Schweinsteiger. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PoWer SC 2K5 were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leroy Kluttig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Ferdinand kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Mugur Chiriac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hector Todor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Zvonimir Prestin fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PoWer SC 2K5's protests and gave Zvonimir Prestin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when PoWer SC 2K5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zvonimir Prestin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. PoWer SC 2K5 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
