In the 20th minute, Manolo Bacete made a precise shot to the right of Leo Hagberg. Skövde AIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kevin Keegan 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manolo Bacete in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leo Hagberg saved Skövde AIK from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Bacete came free, but Leo Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 39th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alcorcón's Manolo Bacete pulled a muscle in his leg after 89 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 89 minutes of play Skövde AIK's Krister Uggstedt was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Ortiz got free with Leo Hagberg in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
