In the 10th minute Ronaldinho Fenomeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim First saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AS Pikachuzim's Santos Rallo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joacim First in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhote FC's zone, Ronaldinho Fenomeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joacim First came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Fenomeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Sílvio Luís Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hristofor Borchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldinho Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute Max Möllgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim First saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Fenomeno in the 54th minute of play forced Pinhote FC's goalkeeper Joacim First to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joacim First took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Möllgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joacim First showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Oğuz Semdin in the 74th minute of the match. Luciano Sarmento was slow to take the kick. During this time AS Pikachuzim's players had a chance to rest. AS Pikachuzim's Arif Oğuz Semdin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joacim First in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Joacim First stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arif Oğuz Semdin's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 1-1. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Arif Oğuz Semdin in AS Pikachuzim was the one to initiate the kick off. Luciano Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joacim First read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. After 100 minutes Pinhote FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luciano Sarmento who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Emanuel Arruda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pinhote FC's Joacim First did a great save. The supporters of AS Pikachuzim booed when Pinhote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 110 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Luciano Sarmento in the 111th minute really tested Joacim First's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With the score at 1-1, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

Everyone could clearly see that both Pinhote FC's and AS Pikachuzim's players was becoming tired in their legs when Pinhote FC's Holger Siöberg did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. In the 122nd minute Arif Oğuz Semdin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim First saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 124 minutes into the match, Pinhote FC's Guo Ming sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hristofor Borchev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pasha Datsiuk in the 125th minute of play forced Pinhote FC's goalkeeper Joacim First to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joacim First didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pasha Datsiuk went, in the 125th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. AS Pikachuzim's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
