An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Pinto in the 11th minute of play forced C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's goalkeeper Alfredinho Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Roberto Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cezary Chrzan was slow to take the kick. During this time SMOCZANKA MIELEC's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Bertil Ekström advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 27th minute. Alfredinho Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezary Chrzan in the 30th minute of play. Bertil Ekström hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Oscar Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Giraldo to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Roberto Lewandowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.U.E. DE COMERCIO the free kick. A collision led to SMOCZANKA MIELEC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Roberto Lewandowski hit a great ball. Roch Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Romano in the 64th minute of the match. Roch Grondzki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Romano went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's Alfredinho Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save C.U.E. DE COMERCIO from getting a goal against them. If Salvador Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute, Salvador Romano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.U.E. DE COMERCIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. SMOCZANKA MIELEC made a substitution. Sylwester Klimkiewicz replaced Cezary Chrzan. All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's Salvador Romano that got to make the kick off. 102 minutes into the match, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalkeeper Roch Grondzki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salvador Romano. Roch Grondzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Romano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the C.U.E. DE COMERCIO defense, Sylwester Klimkiewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredinho Gerber. The C.U.E. DE COMERCIO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredinho Gerber should have stopped the shot. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
