A well-hit corner resulted in Kubilay Gündeş heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Santo Marcos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mbaka Mbolu in the 11th minute of the match. I Dont CopyXML Tactics's Santo Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mbaka Mbolu in the 14th minute of play. When KOCAELİSPOR's Mbaka Mbolu in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of KOCAELİSPOR booed when I Dont CopyXML Tactics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mbaka Mbolu in the 28th minute of play. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Edmund Lidberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute Mbaka Mbolu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mbaka Mbolu to make the kick off. Santo Marcos came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by KOCAELİSPOR's Mbaka Mbolu. But to his dismay, Mbaka Mbolu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, I Dont CopyXML Tactics's Eliézer Sanches got a free kick in the 57th minute. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Lidberg in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, KOCAELİSPOR's Mbaka Mbolu made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santo Marcos was left in no man's land by his defense there! KOCAELİSPOR made a substitution. Rafet Hazin replaced Ediz Tekdoğan. I Dont CopyXML Tactics made a substitution. Mario Steinmetz replaced Edmund Lidberg. After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Claudio Delgadillo got a free kick in the 65th minute. Despite this Santo Marcos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Santo Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mbaka Mbolu in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, I Dont CopyXML Tactics's Santo Marcos got control of the ball when Refugio Pagan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Refugio Pagan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Santo Marcos. The goal made the score 1-4. Godofredo Echavarri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's Refugio Pagan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santo Marcos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the I Dont CopyXML Tactics defense, Refugio Pagan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santo Marcos. The I Dont CopyXML Tactics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Marcos should have stopped the shot. The KOCAELİSPOR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KOCAELİSPOR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
