After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Fe Nestares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Caleb Barrett quite easily take care of the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Larry Hallam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Paul Ramon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enrique Cassaretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Caleb Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Peru's Hunfredo Mancina got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 33rd minute, Peru's Enrique Cassaretto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Caleb Barrett. Caleb Barrett yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Caleb Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 42nd minute. After 44 played minutes Andorra got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Eyre. When Enrique Cassaretto came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Cassaretto couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Peru's Xuaco Oñaederra was substituted for Enrique Cassaretto. Andorra made a substitution. Alex Martinez replaced Shaun Grigg. In the 54th minute Larry Hallam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ramon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Larry Hallam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paul Ramon, 2-2. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fe Nestares in the 65th minute. If Xuaco Oñaederra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xuaco Oñaederra in the 73rd minute of play forced Andorra's goalkeeper Caleb Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xuaco Oñaederra in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caleb Barrett saved Andorra from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xuaco Oñaederra in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caleb Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Xuaco Oñaederra put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Caleb Barrett. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Andorra's goalkeeper Caleb Barrett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Humberto Requena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Ramon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillem Agulló, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
