Laçın Cumayev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Barreiros's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Sergen Kutsalan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, André Jordão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vacid Seralp. Calentura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Jordão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 25thth minute of the game Sergio Persol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Braga's Laçın Cumayev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lu Xun Lei kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Jordão in the 31st minute of play forced Calentura's goalkeeper Vacid Seralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Calentura lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
