Fernan Berart ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute Martin Mutumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Motta in the 24th minute of play. Stoke FF's Niclas Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Mutumba in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Stoke FF were awarded a corner. Pontus Granlund went to the cornerflag to take it. Pontus Granlund made a great header on Stoke FF's corner, it was just that Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 38th minute, Bengt-Arne Haglund made a precise shot to the right of Niclas Andersson. Stoke FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

Martin Mutumba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Niclas Andersson made a huge save. Sven-Ove Isaksson charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
