The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erland Markusson in the 3rd minute of play forced Stoke FF's goalkeeper Niclas Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doffes Damer were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Stoke FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Göran Vedholm took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inge Braa in the 5th minute of play forced Stoke FF's goalkeeper Niclas Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, Stoke FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Ahlbom to maneuver through the defense. Niclas Andersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inge Braa's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute Inge Braa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doffes Damer's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Göran Vedholm in the 16th minute. Doffes Damer's Göran Vedholm was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Niclas Andersson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Inge Braa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Niclas Andersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Braa in the 17th minute of play. Niclas Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Doffes Damer's zone, Kent Browall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Fanström came out of the goal and Kent Browall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doffes Damer's Gabriel Fanström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Doffes Damer from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernst Ahlbom was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Doffes Damer booed when Stoke FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Ahlbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes Stoke FF got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Motta. Niclas Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inge Braa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inge Braa in the 40th minute of play forced Stoke FF's goalkeeper Niclas Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Stoke FF got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Motta. Greg Barrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Niclas Andersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stoke FF's Niclas Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Braa in the 46th minute of play. Inge Braa might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niclas Andersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inge Braa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute Inge Braa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kent Browall was the one to do the kick off. Marcelinho Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When Doffes Damer's Inge Braa in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stoke FF's goalie prevented a goal. If Inge Braa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niclas Andersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Braa in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niclas Andersson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute, Göran Vedholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Andréas Stigsson replaced Greg Barrera. Doffes Damer were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Stoke FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Göran Vedholm took the corner. Stoke FF's Sven-Ove Isaksson was substituted for Bozkurt Orkun. Niclas Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inge Braa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niclas Andersson came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Doffes Damer's Inge Braa. But to his dismay, Inge Braa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Knut Utfal replaced Inge Braa. After 81 played minutes Stoke FF got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Motta. In the 83rd match minute, Stoke FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Motta to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Stoke FF's Niclas Andersson got control of the ball when Knut Utfal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Knut Utfal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niclas Andersson was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Sven-Ove Isaksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Stoke FF's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Utfal came free, but Niclas Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Knut Utfal made a precise shot to the right of Niclas Andersson. Stoke FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Doffes Damer eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
