The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alaaddin Solskjær showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Brolin, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Mårtensson in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, BV Borussia Hammarby's Jairo Asteguieta got control of the ball when Lars Bammerman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by BV Borussia Hammarby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jairo Asteguieta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
