If Iwo Borcz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Gu Xuan Xiong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Voskresensk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gu Xuan Xiong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Berg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedor Ivanchuk in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Iwo Borcz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Akinfeev. Voskresensk FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iwo Borcz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Gleb Sorokin lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Dennis Berg. Fedor Ivanchuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute Fedor Ivanchuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Vladimir Safarov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the game, Rikard Göransson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Igor Akinfeev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dennis Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedor Ivanchuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gleb Sorokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38thth minute of the game Iwo Borcz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Gleb Sorokin notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of IFK Fölet's Dennis Berg. Dennis Berg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Voskresensk FC's Vladimir Safarov got a free kick in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
Igor Akinfeev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iwo Borcz in the 51st minute. Igor Akinfeev made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Iwo Borcz sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute Fedor Ivanchuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute Voskresensk FC were awarded a corner. Gu Xuan Xiong went to the cornerflag to take it. Gu Xuan Xiong made a great header on Voskresensk FC's corner, it was just that IFK Fölet's Dennis Berg managed to reach the ball for a save. Iwo Borcz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Igor Akinfeev skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gleb Sorokin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Voskresensk FC's Timofey Solomakhin was substituted for Vladimir Safarov. Vladimir Safarov hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, IFK Fölet's Ermanno Mariotti got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 68 played minutes, Voskresensk FC's Gu Xuan Xiong shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dennis Berg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Voskresensk FC reached it. The audience was convinced that Iwo Borcz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Akinfeev was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rikard Göransson in the 72nd minute of play forced Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixten Fridlund in the 78th minute of play forced Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ove Mellberg kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedor Ivanchuk in the 90th minute of play forced IFK Fölet's goalkeeper Dennis Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedor Ivanchuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute of the match, Iwo Borcz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Igor Akinfeev was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. IFK Fölet's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ove Mellberg in the 97th minute. Voskresensk FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
