After 5 played minutes ORIZABA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Oliverios. In the 6th minute, ORIZABA F.C.'s Ubaldo Mogel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernado Muslera. Fernado Muslera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when CAN ERZURUM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aytekin Tardu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Eugenio Honrio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ORIZABA F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAN ERZURUM the free kick. After a rather tough play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Eugenio Honrio got a free kick in the 15th minute. Braulio Erasto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fernado Muslera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute ORIZABA F.C. were awarded a corner. Ubaldo Mogel went to the cornerflag to take it. Ubaldo Mogel made a great header on ORIZABA F.C.'s corner, it was just that CAN ERZURUM's Fernado Muslera managed to reach the ball for a save. CAN ERZURUM's Fernado Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Mogel in the 29th minute of play. Bilgin Yenisey charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Gervasio Sazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atalan Yalın in the 43rd minute of play. Braulio Erasto charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Braulio Erasto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

CAN ERZURUM's Arın Ferhat Kocaker was substituted for Yalçın Özgenc. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bilgin Yenisey made a kick off. When Dante Txema came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the ORIZABA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Txema couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ümit Zeren came free, but Gervasio Sazon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aytekin Tardu's late challenge caught a ORIZABA F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aytekin Tardu helped the player get up and apologised. Aytekin Tardu kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Bilgin Yenisey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 minutes of play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Braulio Erasto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernado Muslera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, CAN ERZURUM's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Macias came free, but Fernado Muslera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Malvin in the 75th minute of play forced CAN ERZURUM's goalkeeper Fernado Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Braulio Erasto came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the ORIZABA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Erasto couldn't finish the play. Fernado Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Txema, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Braulio Erasto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernado Muslera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CAN ERZURUM's Kadir Gagauz was substituted for Atalan Yalın. If Manuel Macias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

ORIZABA F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
