Davi Tande came out of the goal and Aris Voutsas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toninho Garcia hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute ΠΑΟΚ FC were awarded a corner. Anestis Kapataidakis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led ΠΑΟΚ FC's Petros Giannakis to fire away a dangerous shot which Davi Tande despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Washington Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Makis Tselementes. Davi Tande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petros Giannakis went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petros Giannakis made a kick off. Makis Tselementes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Toninho Garcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Makis Tselementes. ΠΑΟΚ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toninho Garcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The supporters of ΠΑΟΚ FC booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Makis Tselementes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Garcia went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.

ΠΑΟΚ FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
