Spectators: 489 (Terracing: 368, Seating: 112, VIP seats: 9) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when David Palmer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eddie Billvall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Bosânceanu in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, David Palmer lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Gheorghe Vărzaru. In the 10th minute of the match, David Palmer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gheorghe Vărzaru saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eddie Billvall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Chivu in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Grigore Hulubei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claes Danielsson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Florin Barascu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eddie Billvall. Schmeissen FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eddie Billvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Zâncă, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Stellan Kielberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gheorghe Vărzaru. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 26th minute, Ionel Lung ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eddie Billvall was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. David Palmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gheorghe Vărzaru made a huge save. Gheorghe Vărzaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wictor Adelsköld in the 31st minute. Gheorghe Vărzaru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Palmer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 33 minute of play. The supporters of Schmeissen FC booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Cismarescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Grigore Hulubei hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionel Lung made a kick off. Gheorghe Vărzaru came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by Schmeissen FC's Stellan Kielberg. But to his dismay, Stellan Kielberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 53 minutes of play, Schmeissen FC's David Palmer made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gheorghe Vărzaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute Ionel Lung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Billvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Schmeissen FC's Wictor Adelsköld nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gheorghe Vărzaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. David Cismarescu's late challenge caught a Schmeissen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Cismarescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute Valdemar Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Vărzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when Schmeissen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isak Haraldsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Schmeissen FC's Rune Bäck was substituted for Brian Hellqvist. Schmeissen FC's Axel Beck was substituted for Stellan Kielberg. The audience was convinced that Axel Beck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gheorghe Vărzaru was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionel Lung got free with Eddie Billvall in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ionel Lung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Sorin Zâncă got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Tudor Bosânceanu got a free kick in the 87th minute. Gheorghe Vărzaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wictor Adelsköld went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score.

FC Buzău's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
