The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Imperio Catatumbo de Lara got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Sergipano. 6 minutes into the game, Denis Sabino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berserkers FC Ψ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imperio Catatumbo de Lara the free kick. After 6 played minutes Berserkers FC Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Denis Sabino. After some careless play in the Berserkers FC Ψ defense, Dráuzio Sergipano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Berbiz. The Berserkers FC Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Berbiz should have stopped the shot. Gaudencio Foro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ieltxu Orbaneja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Berserkers FC Ψ's Gaudencio Foro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ieltxu Orbaneja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Gaudencio Foro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ieltxu Orbaneja was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 22 minutes of play, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's William Shakespeare made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armando Berbiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Moises Berasko scored to the left of an out of position Ieltxu Orbaneja, making the score, 2-3. Armando Berbiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguez Toresano, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Sergipano in the 34th minute of play forced Berserkers FC Ψ's goalkeeper Armando Berbiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ádám Dobos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Sergipano in the 37th minute of play forced Berserkers FC Ψ's goalkeeper Armando Berbiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berserkers FC Ψ's Armando Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Shakespeare in the 38th minute of play. In the 40thth minute of the game William Shakespeare who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berserkers FC Ψ's Armando Berbiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when William Shakespeare in the 40th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Berserkers FC Ψ defense, Aureo Valenciaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Berbiz. The Berserkers FC Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Berbiz should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

The wind increased when Gaudencio Foro made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Gaudencio Foro made a precise shot to the right of Ieltxu Orbaneja. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Armando Berbiz made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Aureo Valenciaga sent off a good shot on target. Berserkers FC Ψ's Gaudencio Foro got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Osmundo Puertas was substituted for William Shakespeare. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara made a substitution. Rik Cores replaced Dráuzio Sergipano. 63 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Foro came free, but Ieltxu Orbaneja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Osmundo Puertas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armando Berbiz. Osmundo Puertas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-5. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ieltxu Orbaneja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Berasko in the 78th minute of play. Armando Berbiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osmundo Puertas's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Berserkers FC Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Osmundo Puertas came free, but Armando Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
