The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dan Hasselqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Hasselqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Su Cheng Xi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Juliane Álvarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Su Cheng Xi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bazellatin F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Fábio Dantas was slow to take the kick. During this time Vingadores F.C U23's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Sérgio Schmidt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bazellatin F.C.'s Su Cheng Xi did a great save. In the 21st minute of the match, Giorgos Lagos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juliusz Kaczeniak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Bazellatin F.C. defense, Juliane Álvarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Su Cheng Xi. The Bazellatin F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Su Cheng Xi should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Bazellatin F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juliane Álvarez came free, but Su Cheng Xi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juliane Álvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juliusz Kaczeniak was a little too slow when Kunga King got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. Juliusz Kaczeniak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Lagos in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Bazellatin F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Nedvěd came free, but Su Cheng Xi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vingadores F.C U23 booed when Bazellatin F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lambis Tournas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juliane Álvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kunga King stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Bazellatin F.C.'s Lambis Tournas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juliusz Kaczeniak was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute Juliane Álvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Su Cheng Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Vingadores F.C U23's Juliane Álvarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Su Cheng Xi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Su Cheng Xi was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Juliane Álvarez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juliane Álvarez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kunga King in the 64th minute of play forced Vingadores F.C U23's goalkeeper Juliusz Kaczeniak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bazellatin F.C. made a substitution. Sofoklis Stamatelos replaced Giorgos Lagos. In the 68th match minute, Vingadores F.C U23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Branco to maneuver through the defense. When Bazellatin F.C.'s Kunga King in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Sofoklis Stamatelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juliusz Kaczeniak was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Neither Bazellatin F.C. or Vingadores F.C U23 succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Juliane Álvarez in Vingadores F.C U23 was the one to initiate the kick off. In the 101st minute Juliane Álvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Su Cheng Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juliusz Kaczeniak was a little too slow when Kunga King got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 106th minute. The score was now 3-2. Vingadores F.C U23's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
