Alisson Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Romero in the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY O.Z.'s J.J J.J. got a free kick in the 12th minute. With a little luck, GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora got control of the ball when Fred Valencia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Fred Valencia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Paco Zamora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fred Valencia in the 16th minute. Paco Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Fred Valencia notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora. Paco Zamora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paco Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar de Souza in the 21st minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Marek Lodowy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Valencia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Paco Zamora made a huge save. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY O.Z. from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, one of INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when J.J J.J. made the kick off in the second half. Alisson Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from J.J J.J. in the 52nd minute of the match. Fred Valencia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Paco Zamora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. J.J J.J. could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Alisson Goycochea made a huge save. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar de Souza in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Carlo Gamarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paco Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 78 minutes into the game, Emrullah Toygun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alisson Goycochea. Emrullah Toygun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. 82 minutes into the match, Nilmar de Souza notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora. Paco Zamora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute of the game Carlo Gamarra made a throw-in which Nilmar de Souza played forward. 88 minutes into the game, Fred Valencia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Paco Zamora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 94 minutes, Daniel Wincek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA and the GALATASARAY O.Z. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Wincek kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.

INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
