An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Rashford in the 44th minute of play forced Titanes Mayas's goalkeeper Amancio Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Imre Mihály fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Titanes Mayas's protests and gave Imre Mihály a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Imre Mihály hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 85th minute of the match Imre Mihály completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Imre Mihály a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Titanes Mayas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kanalla F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Titanes Mayas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
