Academica Pulheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Fırat Çakıroğlu came free, but Henry Nölting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Fırat Çakıroğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Nölting was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fırat Çakıroğlu in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Nölting saved Academica Pulheim from getting behind. 25 minutes into the game, Jari Anzengruber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academica Pulheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Senator S.A.K the free kick. After 25 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Jari Anzengruber. Ziemowit Mis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Henry Nölting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Justino Jeraldo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Edvin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Schaffert, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fırat Çakıroğlu in the 37th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Henry Nölting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Senator S.A.K got a freekick which was hit by Fazıl Özgeer. When Fazıl Özgeer fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Senator S.A.K's protests and gave Fazıl Özgeer a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Senator S.A.K got a freekick which was hit by Fazıl Özgeer. Edvin van der Sar made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Jari Anzengruber sent off a good shot on target. Fırat Çakıroğlu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Henry Nölting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Senator S.A.K. The Academica Pulheim players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Senator S.A.K were winning 0-2.

Edvin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jari Anzengruber in the 53rd minute of play. Justino Jeraldo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Fırat Çakıroğlu took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Nölting. Henry Nölting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Hannes Steckamp replaced Rando Max. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jari Anzengruber in the 85th minute of play forced Senator S.A.K's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Senator S.A.K's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute of the game Justino Jeraldo made a throw-in which Jari Anzengruber played forward. Edvin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Schaffert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Justino Jeraldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Hannes Steckamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Senator S.A.K's goal looked a bit too open when Hannes Steckamp came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Academica Pulheim supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Senator S.A.K's performance. The match ended with a win for Senator S.A.K.
