If Damaso Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Boban Fett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Máté Márton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Gerlach in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Bektaş Veli Bengisoy came free, but Máté Márton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genzo Wakabayashi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After 39 minutes Congo Bongo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Gerlach who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Bociany SA's Lech Sroka got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Froilan Iaki might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genzo Wakabayashi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Iaki ran back to his position shaking his head. Genzo Wakabayashi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Sancho to make the kick off.
