The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Formation Pure Lyonnaise from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Marzagão's Domingos Santiago slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nelson Cloarec. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murillo do Valle got free with Nelson Cloarec in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute Marzagão were awarded a corner. Eliseu Fantini went to the cornerflag to take it. 13 minutes into the match, Oliviero Vuelta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson Cloarec. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliviero Vuelta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Formation Pure Lyonnaise from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute of the match Marzagão got a corner. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseu Fantini ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Eliseu Fantini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nelson Cloarec quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murillo do Valle got free with Nelson Cloarec in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Marzagão fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Marzagão's Oliviero Vuelta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A hard shot 30 in the game by Domingos Santiago from a close distance when the talented Nelson Cloarec managed to make a qualified save. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's players were relieved. Oliviero Vuelta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nelson Cloarec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Domingos Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marzagão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Domingos Santiago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Nelson Cloarec was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oliviero Vuelta had several of the Formation Pure Lyonnaise's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Nelson Cloarec as he didn't even see the shot coming. The corner led to Marzagão's Domingos Santiago getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Davy Giacomoni to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Murillo do Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliviero Vuelta in the 54th minute of the match. When Domingos Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Marzagão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Santiago couldn't finish the play. After 62 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Valério Mazza. In the 66th minute, Oliviero Vuelta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Cloarec was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 70th minute Oliviero Vuelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Cloarec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelson Cloarec came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Marzagão's Oliviero Vuelta. But to his dismay, Oliviero Vuelta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Oliviero Vuelta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marzagão made a substitution. Pedro Toledo replaced Murillo do Valle. Marzagão made a substitution. Jânio Faria replaced Cezar Martins. The Marzagão fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Marzagão's Oliviero Vuelta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Oliviero Vuelta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oliviero Vuelta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Cloarec read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Formation Pure Lyonnaise defense, Domingos Santiago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Cloarec. The Formation Pure Lyonnaise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Cloarec should have stopped the shot. Nelson Cloarec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Toledo went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Domingos Santiago made a precise shot to the right of Nelson Cloarec. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. Nelson Cloarec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliviero Vuelta in the 98th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Marzagão had played much better football throughout.
