An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Chayo in the 5th minute of play forced Planetstaden IK's goalkeeper Gregory Pegrum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregory Pegrum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Figueroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Los once leones's Guaberto Guillerme was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gregory Pegrum in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Alex Albom fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Planetstaden IK's protests and gave Alex Albom a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Los once leones booed when Planetstaden IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Albom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Chayo took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregory Pegrum. Gregory Pegrum dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Los once leones's goal looked a bit too open when Columbo Noya came free, but Dadá Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Columbo Noya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Los once leones's goal looked a bit too open when Columbo Noya came free, but Dadá Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 minutes of play, Planetstaden IK's Columbo Noya made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dadá Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, Planetstaden IK's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Figueroa came free, but Gregory Pegrum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Pegrum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Chayo in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Uriel Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Pegrum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los once leones's Uriel Figueroa got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Columbo Noya made the kick off in the second half. Karl Wiman kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Jörn Åman kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Uriel Figueroa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute of the match, Anibal Chayo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gregory Pegrum was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 75 minutes into the game, Alex Albom threw the ball into play from the sideline. Los once leones's Nunez Guipuzkoa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A sloppy throw-in by Alex Albom in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Los once leones's Tiran Goma. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Columbo Noya during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Planetstaden IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Columbo Noya to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Dodorol kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Dadá Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Columbo Noya, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Uriel Figueroa came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Los once leones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uriel Figueroa couldn't finish the play. Los once leones's Dadá Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Columbo Noya in the 95th minute of play.
