Martin Falaise kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. FK Dampsaga's Eilif Stavrum got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Formation Pure Lyonnaise booed when FK Dampsaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Björkdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Formation Pure Lyonnaise defense, Eilif Stavrum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Cloarec. The Formation Pure Lyonnaise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Cloarec should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Eilif Stavrum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Nelson Cloarec was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Kristen Gulskov threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Davy Giacomoni, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gunnar Dyrstad to make the kick off. Even Solevåg came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nelson Cloarec could save by the left post. In the 78th minute, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Even Solevåg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. FK Dampsaga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Morten Førland in the 83rd minute. Davy Giacomoni's late challenge caught a FK Dampsaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Cloarec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Dyrstad in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Formation Pure Lyonnaise's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Morten Førland was slow to take the kick. During this time FK Dampsaga's players had a chance to rest. Nelson Cloarec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gunnar Dyrstad's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eilif Stavrum 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-8.
