After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Umberto Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marzagão's supporters rose to their feet, but Umberto Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dadá Martinez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Los once leones booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dadá Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliviero Vuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Oliviero Vuelta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dadá Martinez. Los once leones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliviero Vuelta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dadá Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliviero Vuelta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nunez Guipuzkoa's late challenge caught a Marzagão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nunez Guipuzkoa helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Los once leones got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Guipuzkoa. With a little luck, Los once leones's Dadá Martinez got control of the ball when Murillo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliviero Vuelta in the 25th minute of play forced Los once leones's goalkeeper Dadá Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingos Santiago during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Santiago. Dadá Martinez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingos Santiago in the 31st minute. Los once leones's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Oliviero Vuelta scored to the left of an out of position Dadá Martinez, making the score, 2-0. Dadá Martinez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murillo do Valle in the 38th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Marzagão's Domingos Santiago made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dadá Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tiran Goma charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiran Goma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Tiran Goma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dário Toscano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dadá Martinez. Los once leones's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Oliviero Vuelta made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Murillo do Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dadá Martinez. Los once leones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murillo do Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 54th minute Murillo do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Oliviero Vuelta made a precise shot to the right of Dadá Martinez. Los once leones's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Marzagão from getting a goal against them. Uriel Figueroa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Mieszko Karanowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagão's zone, Anibal Chayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mieszko Karanowski came out of the goal and Anibal Chayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los once leones's Dadá Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Santiago in the 64th minute of play. Dadá Martinez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliviero Vuelta went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The Marzagão fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Marzagão's Oliviero Vuelta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anibal Chayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Mieszko Karanowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marzagão's Pedro Toledo was substituted for Murillo do Valle. Marzagão made a substitution. Jânio Faria replaced Cezar Martins. 79 minutes into the match, Los once leones's goal looked a bit too open when Oliviero Vuelta came free, but Dadá Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Fantini in the 81st minute of play forced Los once leones's goalkeeper Dadá Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Pedro Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marzagão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Dadá Martinez came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Marzagão's Oliviero Vuelta. But to his dismay, Oliviero Vuelta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Dadá Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliviero Vuelta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marzagão fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los once leones had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
