Davy Giacomoni started the match with the kick off. Nelson Cloarec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregg Didlick, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. 8 minutes into the match, Mete Golob notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec. Nelson Cloarec was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nelson Cloarec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mete Golob went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jim Schmeltzer kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Nelson Cloarec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Watts in the 30th minute of play. Nelson Cloarec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Golob, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Golob in the 34th minute of play. Nelson Cloarec came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart. But to his dismay, Rafael van der Vaart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 41st minute of play forced Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Nelson Cloarec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glasston's Tom Rheistein was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nelson Cloarec in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 43rd minute Mete Golob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Cloarec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Watts came free, but Nelson Cloarec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Watts scored 0-5 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Cloarec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Glasston were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael van der Vaart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nelson Cloarec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 53rd minute of play. After 59 minutes, György Németh made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Formation Pure Lyonnaise getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Felix Nourry hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Mete Golob ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Cloarec was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Mete Golob managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glasston's supporters rose to their feet, but Mete Golob was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Cloarec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rafael van der Vaart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlton Convine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davy Giacomoni in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael van der Vaart in the 82nd minute of play forced Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Nelson Cloarec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match, Mete Golob tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nelson Cloarec saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
