The crowd rose to their feet as Pascal Frost kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andriy Lunin. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Rufus Phipps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Elodio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of THe Last Indian booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Brufau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, David Elodio notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of THe Last Indian's Rufus Phipps. Rufus Phipps was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
