Gebrüdersdorfer SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lionel Mesías was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Dejan Attard got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Januário Domingos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira got control of the ball when Lionel Mesías tried to sneak it across the goal line.
