Gernando Azevedo started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Los Andes FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Roman Quexal hit a great ball. Xiao Bang Kun made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Edgardo Silva. Gernando Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremy Nicholas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gernando Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Azevedo in the 9th minute of the match. Ruy Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 24th minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Gernando Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes New England Minas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arjen Robben who took care of the corner kick. 0-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Edgardo Silva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Gernando Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeremy Nicholas. Gernando Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 38th minute of the match New England Minas got a corner. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glen Conklin ran over to the corner to take the kick. New England Minas's Glen Conklin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ruy Montenegro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Ruy Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Nóbrega in the 41st minute of play. After 45 played minutes Los Andes FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu do Nascimento. In the 47th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgardo Silva to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Arjen Robben to fire away a dangerous shot which Jeremy Nicholas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Ruy Montenegro got control of the ball when Tony Pacheco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. New England Minas made a substitution. Tio Lio replaced Edgardo Silva. Gernando Azevedo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Ruy Montenegro got control of the ball when Oscar Nordmark tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Oscar Nordmark recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruy Montenegro. Oscar Nordmark showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 73rd minute, Gernando Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Ruy Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tio Lio in the 79th minute of play. Ruy Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tio Lio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 87th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Major to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Los Andes FC - FSCMZ booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Major didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
