In the 9th minute, Andy Cole made a precise shot to the right of Borys Gruchacz. Joinville United - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Gernando Rocha made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Joinville United - FSCMZ's Fernando Vale. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alesandro Coutinho in the 13th minute of play. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alesandro Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Borys Gruchacz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Lokon Pøhl got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Borys Gruchacz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Floresta Negra FC's Alexsandro Mandrak got a free kick in the 19th minute. Mané Lara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egun Pais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mané Lara. The crowd rose to their feet as Mané Lara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egun Pais. That made the score 1-2 in the 31 minute of play. Andy Cole kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Borys Gruchacz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Joinville United - FSCMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Floresta Negra FC were winning 1-2.

Egun Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Khan in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match Floresta Negra FC got a corner. Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lokon Pøhl ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alesandro Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egun Pais having to interfere. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Maurício Donatello was substituted for Lennart Khan. 63 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Borys Gruchacz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 71 minutes, Reynaldo Osmond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville United - FSCMZ and the Floresta Negra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
