After a defensive mix-up in OTTO FC - FSCMZ's zone, João Francisco Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Viator came out of the goal and João Francisco Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Arce in the 19th minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Romulo Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute of the game Cai Otto made a throw-in which Su Shu Zhen played forward. Haji Sarap was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Su Shu Zhen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Su Shu Zhen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Cai Otto kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Geovanildo Luis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Romulo Viator was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovanildo Luis was the one to do the kick off. Geovanildo Luis might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romulo Viator. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovanildo Luis ran back to his position shaking his head. 51 minutes into the match, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanildo Luis came free, but Romulo Viator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Francisco Arce ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Karsten Ulbak heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Joinville City - FSCMZ's George Pogba was substituted for Bernardino Llorenc. Romulo Viator made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Marcus Allbäck sent off a good shot on target. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Romulo Viator proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save OTTO FC - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Marcus Allbäck did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Romulo Viator 70 minutes into the match. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Su Shu Zhen got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute Adhemar Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Viator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Su Shu Zhen scored 2-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haji Sarap, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Romulo Viator got control of the ball when Adhemar Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute Marcus Allbäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Viator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Santos in the 91st minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Romulo Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Viator showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Allbäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Romulo Viator made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adhemar Santos in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Marcus Allbäck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Romulo Viator. Marcus Allbäck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. The Joinville City - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Joinville City - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
