In the 3rd minute, Tony Pacheco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 7 minutes, Hulk Zaracho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hulk Zaracho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 11th minute of the match. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Vergílio in the 14th minute of the match. If Edgardo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 17 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Cipriano Sustrai got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jorge Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Glen Conklin went to the cornerflag to take it. New England Minas's Glen Conklin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Loyola in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Sustrai got free with Jeremy Nicholas in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save New England Minas from getting a goal against them. After 39 played minutes Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Gero Mitov. In the 42nd minute, Gero Mitov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgardo Silva made a kick off. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Glen Conklin hit a great ball. Jorge Loyola was a little too slow when Edgardo Silva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-1. 62 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Hulk Zaracho came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulk Zaracho in the 71st minute of play. Gero Mitov kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. New England Minas's Tio Lio was substituted for Edgardo Silva. In the 72nd match minute, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gero Mitov to maneuver through the defense. Tio Lio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Glen Conklin took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Tony Pacheco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Toledo in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goalkeeper Jorge Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute of the match New England Minas got a corner. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glen Conklin ran over to the corner to take the kick. New England Minas's Oscar Nordmark was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hulk Zaracho in the 85th minute of the match. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Jorge Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. After 90 played minutes Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Tore-Andre Seppola. In the 93rd minute, Hulk Zaracho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When the final whistle went the supporters of New England Minas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ side.
