An unexpectedly hard shot by Krum Razsolkov in the 7th minute of play forced MANIACOS's goalkeeper Felippe Sabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Montay Villatreses's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Batista in the 16th minute of play forced MANIACOS's goalkeeper Felippe Sabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felippe Sabino came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by ContraVersão's Pedro Luís Batista. But to his dismay, Pedro Luís Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pedro Luís Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Felippe Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Nemesio Mansilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Didi Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Montay Villatreses, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Felippe Sabino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Batista in the 32nd minute. If Montay Villatreses had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didi Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Montay Villatreses in the 36th minute of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind ContraVersão's goalkeeper Didi Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Colon Averasturi made a kick off. João Adolfo Lara hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in ContraVersão's zone, Colon Averasturi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Tróia came out of the goal and Colon Averasturi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute Elias Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Sabino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montay Villatreses fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Tróia having to interfere. MANIACOS's Norberto Monzón was substituted for Nemesio Mansilla. Didi Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montay Villatreses, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of MANIACOS booed when ContraVersão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Salkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Pedro Luís Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felippe Sabino was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. The supporters of ContraVersão booed when MANIACOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvis Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. ContraVersão's Patrick Salkvist took a good shot, in the 77th minute, which hit the crossbar above Felippe Sabino's head, and flew over the goal. MANIACOS's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by ContraVersão. 82 minutes into the match, ContraVersão's goal looked a bit too open when Montay Villatreses came free, but Didi Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Krum Razsolkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Didi Tróia managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when MANIACOS's Roderigo Fontanez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Krum Razsolkov's late challenge caught a MANIACOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Krum Razsolkov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, ContraVersão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krum Razsolkov to maneuver through the defense. After 91 played minutes Montay Villatreses rounded ContraVersão's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
