A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Ture Kuse with Aleksander Lindholm as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Maksymilian Wydrych managed to get in a good position for a shot. Húsares's supporters rose to their feet, but Maksymilian Wydrych was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Galen Fågel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florencio Ferran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galen Fågel having to interfere. Aleksander Lindholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fabio Quintyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hemse RK's Galen Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Ferran in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Paulo Gasteiz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hemse RK's Antônio Carlos Nogueira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Hemse RK made a substitution. Fredrik Klack replaced Eddie Larsson. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aleksander Lindholm was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Florencio Ferran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Galen Fågel. That made the score 0-1 in the 59 minute of play. In the 68th minute, Aleksander Lindholm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hemse RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Ibon in the 78th minute of play forced Hemse RK's goalkeeper Galen Fågel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teobaldo Ibon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Galen Fågel made a huge save. In the 83rd minute Tomas Hägert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Quintyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
