Thomás Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, FC Barrera 2.0's Valério Xavier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doni Seco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Lara came free, but Doni Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Júnior Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júnior Alagoano couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Valério Xavier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Barrera 2.0 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barrera 2.0's goalkeeper Thomás Travassos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco got control of the ball when Diguinho de Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Eger in the 45th minute of play forced FC Barrera 2.0's goalkeeper Thomás Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valério Xavier was the one to do the kick off. Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho de Godoi in the 64th minute of play. Marcelo Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafim Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Serafim Cearense got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Castanheiro SC's zone, Diguinho de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doni Seco came out of the goal and Diguinho de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doni Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Berger in the 92nd minute of the match. Gabriel Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
