The referee ignored FC Barrera 2.0's protests and gave Gabriel Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Barrera 2.0's Gabriel Velasco got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Gildo Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barrera 2.0's protests and gave Gildo Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot by Edgar Penkalski from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Thomás Travassos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to FC Barrera 2.0 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alex Lara hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Dulka in the 51st minute of play forced FC Barrera 2.0's goalkeeper Thomás Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The shot was stopped by Alfred Starogardzki but with some difficulty. FC Barrera 2.0's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
