The referee ignored AFC Koolkerke's protests and gave Semi Acartürk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, AFC Koolkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semi Acartürk to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

AFC Koolkerke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robertinho Carabajal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of AFC Koolkerke booed when Åsbro Flåsegutter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th match minute, Åsbro Flåsegutter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Castro to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes of play, Åsbro Flåsegutter's Segundo Frichoso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After having played for 85 minutes, Robertinho Carabajal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Koolkerke's Ulises Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Michalski in the 90th minute of play. Jakub Michalski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulises Steven read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
