The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gianni Balla got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Hamburg Fighters's Gustaw Fafinski got control of the ball when Benedikt Bensch tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 3rd minute, Benedikt Bensch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gustaw Fafinski. The goal made the score 1-0. Zé Paulo da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Paulo da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustaw Fafinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Bocu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Jarstein didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinu Bocu went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Hertha 1969's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Moritz Hasenjäger in the 16th minute. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianni Balla in the 17th minute of play. Rune Jarstein came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hamburg Fighters's Gianni Balla. But to his dismay, Gianni Balla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Paulo da Silva got free with Gustaw Fafinski in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaw Fafinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 30th minute. After 34 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Mayer. In the 36th minute Gianni Balla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute Hamburg Fighters were awarded a corner. Gianni Balla went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Gianni Balla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein did a great save. In the 40th minute Gianluca Balla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hertha 1969 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Rune Jarstein went to the wrong direction when Gianni Balla was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Hamburg Fighters's Gianni Balla in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hertha 1969's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Wilhelm Nienhaus made the kick off in the second half. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianni Balla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Zé Paulo da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Fafinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Hertha 1969's corner Moritz Hasenjäger fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustaw Fafinski quite easily take care of the ball. In the 60th minute of the match, Leandros Hölsch tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rune Jarstein saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gustaw Fafinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedikt Bensch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Emilio Melzer got a free kick in the 68th minute. Dinu Bocu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Rune Jarstein made a huge save. In the 72nd minute Benedikt Bensch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Fafinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hertha 1969 made a substitution. Rupert Heidingsfelder replaced Wilhelm Nienhaus. Hertha 1969 were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Hamburg Fighters's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moritz Hasenjäger took the corner. Moritz Hasenjäger made a great header on Hertha 1969's corner, it was just that Hamburg Fighters's Gustaw Fafinski managed to reach the ball for a save. Rupert Heidingsfelder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustaw Fafinski having to make a save. 81 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Heidingsfelder came free, but Gustaw Fafinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaw Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 83rd minute of play. Rupert Heidingsfelder might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaw Fafinski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rupert Heidingsfelder ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 85th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Gustaw Fafinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Gianni Balla came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaw Fafinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 91st minute of the match. Rune Jarstein made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Gianluca Balla sent off a good shot on target.
