After having played for 3 minutes, Paavo Hirvonen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porvoon Futura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paavo Hirvonen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francesco Toldo came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Vorwärts Lübeck's Eberhard Kobe. But to his dismay, Eberhard Kobe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Porvoon Futura's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Ortzi came free, but Francesco Toldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Abubakar Noach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Co Vid. When Henrik Höijer fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porvoon Futura's protests and gave Henrik Höijer a yellow card for diving instead. Henrik Höijer kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Francesco Toldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Casero in the 16th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Vorwärts Lübeck got a freekick which was hit by Brix Wenauer. Henrik Höijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Co Vid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Abubakar Noach made a huge save. Waldo Gawletta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vorwärts Lübeck's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henrik Höijer was slow to take the kick. During this time Porvoon Futura's players had a chance to rest. Henrik Höijer made a great header on Porvoon Futura's corner, it was just that Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach managed to reach the ball for a save. Marek Tomporowski hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 0-2 became the score in the 32nd minute when Severino Casero elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Tomporowski in the 35th minute of play. Porvoon Futura's Co Vid got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute Severino Casero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Toldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Casero in the 46th minute of play forced Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Porvoon Futura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by King Cock to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Ortzi in the 48th minute of play forced Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Casero to make the kick off. A collision led to Vorwärts Lübeck getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Cecilio Ortzi hit a great ball. Francesco Toldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Casero in the 57th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Co Vid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porvoon Futura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Co Vid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francesco Toldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Ortzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, King Cock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Tomporowski in the 78th minute of play. Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Co Vid in the 79th minute of play. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Ortzi in the 81st minute of play. Porvoon Futura made a substitution. Iso Gulli replaced Big Fart. Co Vid hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Severino Casero took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Francesco Toldo to make any attempt to save it. If King Cock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Toldo made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Marek Tomporowski sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Porvoon Futura booed when Vorwärts Lübeck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldo Gawletta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vorwärts Lübeck had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
