In the 85th minute of the match Doffes Damer got a corner. Porvoon Futura's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Göran Vedholm ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Doffes Damer's corner Göran Vedholm fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francesco Toldo quite easily take care of the ball. Gabriel Fanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Co Vid in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Knut Utfal in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francesco Toldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Knut Utfal made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 90thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Francesco Toldo would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Doffes Damer's Su Yao Ting got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Francesco Toldo. The Doffes Damer supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Doffes Damer would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
