Qiao Xing Qi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lee Kerr read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Qiao Xing Qi came free, but Lee Kerr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lee Kerr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Argina's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Lee Kerr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernd Yuschni was a little too slow when Cumhur Tanacan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-1. After 46 played minutes Clapham Comets F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Calum Frost. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Barrie Newell got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A hard shot by Lei Xiang Rong from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Lee Kerr's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Hannover Reds's Emilio Argina in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 67th minute Hannover Reds were awarded a corner. Lei Xiang Rong went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willi Tilmann got free with Lee Kerr in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ashley Gardiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Barrie Newell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiao Xing Qi in the 78th minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Lee Kerr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 87 minutes on the clock, Fitz Hubbard commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 87 minutes into the game, one of Clapham Comets F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Lee Kerr, was totally fooled by Hannover Reds's Lei Xiang Rong, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Barrie Newell got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Cumhur Tanacan got a free kick in the 97th minute. Hannover Reds's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
