Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Bomba in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Leheren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Denis Osokin fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Paços de Ferreira's protests and gave Denis Osokin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Denis Osokin got a free kick in the 16th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of F.C. Paços de Ferreira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Talleres de Escalada:s goal. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Talleres de Escalada. Rigoberto Argider stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Miguel Poças. 0-1. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Argider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Talleres de Escalada's Thibault Moon got a free kick in the 30th minute. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Argider in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Rigoberto Argider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres de Escalada's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Argider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Poças breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Bomba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Poças came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres de Escalada's Rigoberto Argider. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Argider quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Martin Leheren came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Inácio Secco. But to his dismay, Inácio Secco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half Talleres de Escalada were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Bomba made a kick off. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Argider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bóas Pernas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Leheren having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Franco got free with Miguel Poças in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Argider in the 67th minute of play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Fabrício Travassos was substituted for João Maia. The supporters of F.C. Paços de Ferreira booed when Talleres de Escalada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Leheren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Travassos in the 89th minute of the match. Martin Leheren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Bomba in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Emin Sağan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
